PENGERANG, Johor: Two children lost their lives near a party site in Kampung Punggai, Pengerang, Johor, on Sunday evening. Mohammad Nizam Zainal, 33, and his son, Muhammad Zamri Mikhail, 8, succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at a health clinic. Commander Aldron Dey Judih@Judeh of the Punggai Bomb and Rescue Unit stated that six people were assisted by an SUV and a four-wheel-drive Hilux after receiving an emergency call at 7:10 pm on Sunday.

Upon arriving at the scene, bomb squad members found two victims, a middle-aged man and a young boy, in a coma. Both victims were promptly taken out of the area by civilians before the bomb squad arrived. Emergency breathing assistance was given to the two children before they were transported to Bayu Damai Health Clinic for further treatment. However, it became clear that both victims had died, according to medical staff.
