Woman Allegedly Drugged, Raped At Under-Construction Building In Bhopal; Accused Held

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted at an under-construction building located near Kolar police station on the night of Friday to Saturday. A construction laborer, identified as Satyendra Dhurve, has been arrested and charged with the crime. According to witnesses, locals heard the woman's screams and rushed to the scene, where they found her in a distressed and partially undressed condition.

She had managed to flee the building and sought help from the First Response Vehicle (FRV). The victim, originally from Anuppur district, had been living at the construction site for six months and worked as a laborer. She had gone to meet relatives with her sister on Friday evening, where she allegedly met Dhurve, who took her to the under-construction building under the pretext of something else.

After dinner, Dhurve allegedly drugged her cold drink, and she began feeling intoxicated. When she resisted, he allegedly assaulted her and beat her. The woman managed to escape and ran towards the road. Kolar police station in-charge Sanjay Soni confirmed the arrest of the suspect, noting that both the victim and the accused are construction laborers.
