‘What will happen if you release Imran Khan?’: PAK legend Miandad breaks down in interview

Pakistan cricket icon Javed Miandad wept while discussing the imprisonment of his fellow veteran, Imran Khan. Miandad, who played in six World Cups from 1975 to 1996, vehemently denied allegations of corruption against Khan and implored for his release. Khan, who served as Prime Minister from 2018 to 2022, was arrested in 2023 following a corruption conviction.

Miandad, 69, addressed Khan's medical evaluation in Islamabad, which his party contested, stating that Khan should have been transferred to Shifa International Hospital with his personal physician. Khan's sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, appeared in an interview at Lord's with former England cricketer Michael Atherton, alleging that their father was isolated for nearly 23 hours daily.

Miandad defended Khan's integrity, emphasizing that the former captain is not corrupt and would not engage in harmful activities.
