West Ham U18s faced Brentford U18s in an exciting U18 Premier League match on Saturday morning at Little Heath Sports Ground. Jai Nwosu scored a hat-trick, but the Bees ultimately fell 5-4 to the hosts. Nwosu put West Ham ahead five minutes into the game, following up on Jovan Kasujja's perfect cross. Bailey Pammenter equalized for Brentford shortly after, capitalizing on a through ball.

Brentford regained the lead on 29 minutes when Jai Bansoodeb took advantage of a mistake by Tommy Goodger, slotting the ball into the net. Nwosu had a chance to add a third before halftime but headed wide. Gary McDermott's side took the lead again in the second half through a penalty awarded after Charles Gadsdon was brought down.

Joel Kerr converted the penalty. Pammenter scored his second goal of the game, reacting quickly after Nicholls parried a Gadsdon effort. Substitution Christlife Mandungu came close to extending West Ham's advantage but hit the crossbar. The home side dominated the second half, with Dylan Danso and Josh Oladapo-Gamu making key contributions.

Nwosu equalized with another chip goal, and Mandungu scored a second for West Ham. The match ended with Frankie Day scoring the decisive winner, taking advantage of a Brentford loss of possession. It was a tough loss for the young Bees in an entertaining match. West Ham will next face Aston Villa on Saturday, September 5.
