Wajah Malaysia puts Malaysians in the picture

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysians are invited to be part of a nationwide display of faces through the Wajah Malaysia initiative. A mobile roadshow truck, equipped with a photobooth and interactive activities, will tour key locations during the National Day festivities. Currently located at Dataran Merdeka, the truck provides visitors with the chance to pose for a photo and see themselves on a customized front page of popular Malaysian newspapers like the New Straits Times, Berita Harian, and Harian Metro.

The campaign aims to gather over 600 photos, which will be compiled into mosaics displayed on billboards, in newspapers, and on television screens on Malaysia Day, September 16.

Tengku Kaifi Tengku Ibrahim, head of Branding and Intellectual Property at NSTP, stated that the campaign offers an opportunity to engage with Malaysians, particularly those visiting Dataran Merdeka, many of whom are school groups from across the country. With more than 50 students from Kedah, for instance, already on site ahead of National Day, the truck provides an accessible way to connect with younger Malaysians.

The mobile roadshow will depart for the Petronas Twin Towers early tomorrow to engage marathon participants before returning to Dataran Merdeka at noon. In addition to the photo opportunity, visitors can collect copies of NSTP newspapers, with 900 copies distributed daily, including 300 of each newspaper. They can also participate in activities to win T-shirts, souvenirs, and exclusive Media Prima merchandise.

The Wajah Malaysia campaign is a joint effort between the NSTP Marketing Department and Media Prima Group Marketing.
