Vietnam sends first processed chicken shipment to South Korea

On April 22, Vietnam and South Korea agreed to open up their markets to processed chicken from Vietnam. C.P. Vietnam became the first company to fulfill the criteria for shipping its first consignment of processed chicken to the Korean market. To satisfy the stringent demands of the Korean market, the company spent over five years preparing and passed through an eight-stage assessment conducted by Korean authorities, focusing on animal and plant quarantine, as well as food and pharmaceutical safety.

The first shipment from Vietnam represents a boost in the production and processing skills of Vietnamese firms, like C.P. Vietnam, allowing them to satisfy the criteria of high-standard markets. This accomplishment highlights the international integration of the agricultural and food sectors. Since the significant shipment to South Korea, C.P.

Vietnam's processed chicken is now being exported to eight different international markets, which include markets with stringent standards such as Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Russia.
