Toddler Killed in Kyiv Drone Strike Amid Ongoing Attacks

A Russian drone strike and subsequent detonation in the Kyiv region has claimed the lives of at least 27 people and left dozens injured, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The attack targeted a warehouse in the village of Myla, resulting in significant damage to surrounding residential buildings and a boarding facility for the elderly and people with disabilities.

Over 300 State Emergency Service personnel are currently working at the scene, while officials have been dispatched to assist affected residents. More than 370 individuals have already been evacuated, with the evacuation process ongoing. Among the victims was Taras Didych, head of the Dmytrivska community, who was reportedly killed while attempting to rescue others.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the attack was part of a larger assault by Russian forces across Ukraine, which included strikes in regions such as Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kherson, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Chernihiv. The Ukrainian president stressed that Ukraine cannot be left to fend for itself in defending against such aerial attacks and called for stronger international support to protect the nation from Russia's ongoing aerial "terror".
