Shin Bet confirms Iranian plot to target Yair Netanyahu

The Shin Bet, Israel's internal security agency, has confirmed a significant threat against Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, originating from Iran, leading to his rapid evacuation from Florida back to Israel. Following a comprehensive assessment, the agency decided to evacuate Yair and his security team in a swift manner.

The initial report of the alleged threat was published by Newsmax, a Miami-based website, citing an unnamed U.S. law enforcement source familiar with the information. The report suggested that Israeli intelligence uncovered an Iranian plot in December to assassinate Yair in Florida, and this information was relayed to U.S. authorities.

According to the U.S. source, Iranian operatives were reportedly present in the Miami area and had conducted surveillance on Yair's residence and movements. Yair, who is constantly accompanied by Israeli security personnel, was directed to leave Florida immediately. He exited the premises without collecting his belongings and returned directly to Israel, where he currently resides.

Just last week, Benjamin Netanyahu disclosed in an interview with Channel 14 that Iran had attempted to assassinate one of his sons, though he did not specify if the target was Yair or his youngest son, Avner Netanyahu. Netanyahu expressed his astonishment at the revelation, stating that the incident is unimaginable, and Iran had marked one of his sons, attempting to murder him.
