‘Salman Khan was high, we had a scuffle’: Subhash Ghai says Salim Khan made actor apologise

In 2008, filmmaker Subhash Ghai worked with actor Salman Khan on the film Yuvvraaj. However, their collaboration began after a significant disagreement between the two, which involved Salman allegedly abusing Ghai at a party. The incident was severe enough for Salman's father, Salim Khan, to intervene and request his son to apologize to Ghai.

In a recent interview with Times Now, Ghai recounted the events leading to their collaboration. He recalled that his brother approached him about making a film with Salman, and after some consideration, Ghai agreed, given that Salman had never been featured in a role he hadn't played before. Despite the film's lackluster box office performance, Ghai suggested that Salman's star power might have overshadowed his character, causing him to act as himself rather than the character intended.

The two had a fight during the filming of Yuvvraaj, with Salman, allegedly high, arguing with Ghai at a party. The argument escalated, and it was Salim Khan who intervened, asking his son to apologize to Ghai. The next morning, Salman did just that, apologizing to Ghai, and from that point, the two reconciled and became friends, eventually working together on Yuvvraaj.

Ghai has previously commended Salman's lack of nervousness, noting that the actor never gets anxious despite facing numerous crises.
