Russian strike on Kyiv-area warehouse sparks detonation, killing 37

At least 37 individuals lost their lives following a Russian drone attack on a warehouse in the Kyiv region, officials announced on Saturday, as Moscow continued its relentless air assaults on the Ukrainian capital and surrounding areas for a third consecutive day. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy vowed to hold those responsible accountable for the warehouse explosion that claimed one of the highest casualty counts in months and appeared to be the second such incident in two months.

Over 370 people were evacuated from the affected area in the village of Myla, while dozens sustained injuries. The strike caused substantial damage to nearby infrastructure, including residential buildings and an elderly care facility. President Zelenskyy expressed his outrage, stating that those who permitted this tragedy must be held responsible for their decisions.

He emphasized that regulations are in place to prevent the storage of ammunition near residential areas, and appropriate consequences will undoubtedly be imposed.
