Qatar welcomes first leisure charter flight from Armenia

Qatar officially welcomed its inaugural leisure charter flight from Yerevan, Armenia, at Hamad International Airport on Saturday. This marks a significant step in increasing inbound leisure tourism and expanding source markets. The service, operated by FlyOne in collaboration with Rustar Tour Operator, will run once a week on an Airbus A320 between Yerevan and Doha until May 15, 2027.

It is projected to bring around 6,500 visitors from Armenia during the contracted period. This charter flight is the first of its kind to arrive in Qatar following recent regional operational disruptions, indicating a return to normal operations and renewed confidence among travelers, tourism partners, and the aviation community.

This launch underscores Qatar's status as a safe, welcoming, and world-class destination, backed by a fully functional tourism, hospitality, and aviation ecosystem that has been working closely with international airlines, travel trade, and hospitality partners to ensure a smooth visitor experience.
