Police recover 500 livestock stolen by suspected bandits in Isiolo

The National Police Service (NPS) in Isiolo has recovered 500 sheep and goats that were stolen by suspected bandits. The incident occurred on August 28, 2026, when the animals were intercepted by a swift response team from the NPS before they could escape. The theft took place on August 27, 2026, during an attack on herders at Mlima Arimoroti in the Alamachi area.

The NPS mobilized immediately upon receiving the report and tracked the attackers to Mlima Lotik, where they successfully recovered all the stolen livestock. All 500 animals have since been positively identified and returned to their rightful owners.
