Pattadar passbooks only solution to land problems: govt.

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, the respective Ministers of Roads and Buildings and Revenue, have announced a government initiative to resolve long-standing land disputes in Telangana. Within the next year, they plan to conduct a thorough survey of all lands in the state and issue pattadar passbooks to eligible landowners.

This long-awaited solution aims to provide farmers with legal ownership of their lands, granting them confidence and access to crucial government benefits like Rythu Bharosa and Rythu Bima.

The Ministers recently distributed pattadar passbooks for 1,044 acres of land to 1,061 farmers from 15 villages in Nuthankal and Maddirala mandals. Venkat Reddy expressed confidence that the Congress government would retain power in Telangana for another decade, citing the rising support from the populace. He also credited former Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the state's creation.

Moreover, Venkat Reddy highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects worth ₹36,000 crore, primarily road development initiatives executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).
