NRL grants Jai Arrow special dispensation for Rabbitohs milestone

Motor neurone disease has not halted Jai Arrow's pursuit of a career milestone in the National Rugby League. The 31-year-old South Sydney Rabbitohs player was granted special dispensation by the NRL to be on the field for his 99th and 100th rugby league appearances. Arrow was named co-captain and led his team onto the field through a guard of honor during Saturday's match against the Gold Coast Titans.

As the referee signaled the start of the game, Arrow was substituted for a brief moment without participating in any play. Embracing his teammates, Arrow was visibly moved, with tears in his eyes, as the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" filled the stadium. After the game, Arrow opted to remain on the interchange bench, watching his Rabbitohs secure a 42-22 victory. The emotional day belonged to Arrow, who expressed gratitude for the love and support he received.
