NPFL: Yusuf expects more from Shooting Stars after Inter Lagos victory

Shooting Stars' technical adviser, Salisu Yusuf, expressed optimism about his team's potential improvement with more games, according to the DAILY POST. On Friday, the Oluyole Warriors made a strong start to the new season, securing a 2-1 victory over Inter Lagos at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan. Lucky Emmanuel scored the opening goal for Shooting Stars in the 14th minute, while Adigun Damilare equalized for Inter Lagos nine minutes later with a precise delivery into the box.

The hosts sealed their win through a penalty by Sodiq Ibrahim in first-half stoppage time. However, substitute Mustapha Adams missed the opportunity to extend Shooting Stars' lead late in the game. Yusuf reiterated his belief that his team would perform better as the season progresses, stating that they would play better once they gain more experience. He mentioned that after one month, the team's performance could be significantly better.
