Motorway Police Issues Rain Safety Advisory for Drivers

The Motorway Police Central Region has released safety recommendations for drivers in response to a forecast of rain and thunderstorms from the Pakistan Meteorological Department. Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed urged motorists to exercise heightened caution while driving in wet conditions. Drivers were instructed to lower their speed to prevent accidents on slippery roads and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

Overtaking should be avoided whenever possible during rainy weather. The Motorway Police emphasized that rain could make roads slick and lower visibility, increasing hazards for drivers. Extra care was advised throughout the journey as road and weather conditions may necessitate adjustments in driving. Citizens were also encouraged to minimize travel during heavy rainfall, especially when driving becomes challenging.

In case of emergencies on the motorway, motorists could reach the Motorway Police helpline at 130 for help. The Motorway Police issued this advisory as a precautionary measure due to the anticipated adverse weather.
