Mills scores late touchdown to lift Stampeders to 28-23 victory over Tiger-Cats

CALGARY – Dedrick Mills scored a 49-yard touchdown with 29 seconds remaining in the game to secure a 28-23 victory for the Calgary Stampeders over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday at McMahon Stadium. The Stampeders, who were without Vernon Adams Jr. due to a head injury, saw Josh Love make his first CFL start of the season and throw a touchdown pass to Ajou Ajou.

Rene Paredes, who returned from a groin injury, kicked five field goals for the Stampeders, while Tre Ford contributed with touchdown passes to Myron Mitchell and Kenny Lawler. Marc Liegghio's five field goals helped the Tigers-Cats (4-8) to a 20-16 lead at one point. Dedrick Mills' late touchdown and Kyle Wilson's interception of a Hamilton pass sealed the win for the Stampeders, who improved to 5-6 in the season.
