Mahama Swears In Zanetor and Ayariga as Ministers

President John Dramani Mahama recently appointed Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings as the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology and Mahama Ayariga as the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Jubilee House, with Mahama emphasizing the importance of serving with integrity, humility, and fairness while putting national interests above personal gain.

He urged Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings to lead in science and technology-driven development and take decisive action against illegal mining that continues to damage the country's forests and water sources. For Ayariga, Mahama highlighted the crucial role of local government in fostering decentralization and fostering cooperation with traditional leaders and religious organizations.

On behalf of Ayariga, Mahama assured the new ministers that they would honor the government's election promises and strive to meet the aspirations of Ghanaians. The appointments followed vetting and approval by Parliament earlier in the week.
