Lookman opens La Liga account as Atletico Madrid beat Sevilla

Ademola Lookman opened his La Liga account with a goal as Atletico Madrid defeated Sevilla 3-1 in an away match. The Nigerian international marked his return to form by finding the back of the net with a composed finish from the left wing, effectively doubling Atletico's lead. This performance showcased Lookman's growing significance to the team, especially considering their absence of attacking options Sørloth and Julián Álvarez.

His goal cemented a dominant 3-1 victory for Atletico, with Álex Baena adding another goal before Sevilla managed to reduce the deficit. Operated at the left flank, Lookman provided his side with an additional attacking outlet, demonstrating his willingness to take on responsibility and maintain pressure on Sevilla. Since his arrival in Madrid, Lookman has made 27 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists for his team.
