KBN University hosts Continuing Medical Education programme

The medical faculty of KBN University recently organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled 'Inside the Marrow: Bridging Haematopoiesis and Haematopathology' on Saturday. Speaking as the chief guest, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Ashfaq Ahmed emphasized the importance of conducting CME programmes in a meaningful manner to benefit society. He stressed the need for documenting such events and conducting follow-up studies over time.

KBN University plans to publish the proceedings of its CME programmes in book form. Medical Dean Gurupasad congratulated the organizers, while senior consultant pathologist and president of the Kalaburagi Pathology Association, A.V. Deshmukh, stated that the CME would be advantageous for students, helping them acquire new skills. IQAC director Abdul Basheer appreciated the initiative and highlighted that organizing CME programmes is an ongoing process.

Around 250 participants registered for the programme, which included a quiz competition and various academic sessions. KBN Hospital Superintendent Siddalinga Chengati, as well as faculty members and students, were present at the event.
