Josh Johnson helps Bengals conclude perfect preseason with 30-13 win over Eagles

Cincinnati Bengals secured a perfect start to their preseason with a 30-13 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night. Veteran quarterback Josh Johnson led the Bengals to victory, throwing for 156 yards in the first half. Evan McPherson contributed significantly with a 56-yard field goal, one of his three successful attempts.

Ke'Shawn Williams added a touchdown catch for the Bengals. Bengals coach Zac Taylor praised his team's performance, stating that the team had come together and executed well. Eagles quarterback Andy Dalton completed 12 of 19 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. Neither team played their starters in the preseason game, though several roster spots were up for grabs.

Philadelphia coach Nick Sirianni praised both quarterbacks' performances. Rookie wide receiver Makai Lemon struggled, making only three catches for 3 yards. The Bengals will host Tampa Bay in their season opener on September 13, while the Eagles will begin their season by hosting Washington on the same date.
