IGP promotes police officer for saving lives during Aboso fire outbreak

Inspector Hance Atubra of the Tarkwa Divisional Police Headquarters has been promoted to Chief Inspector for his bravery during a fire outbreak in Aboso, Western Region. The promotion was approved by Inspector-General of Police Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno after Inspector Atubra's heroic actions on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The fire at the Aboso Main Lorry Station caused significant property damage by engulfing shops.
