How friend deceived me to sell my kidney, bought phones with payment — Victim

Nigerian young man Samuel Ezekiel recounted how a friend of his allegedly deceived him into selling his kidney and using the payment to buy phones. Ezekiel said he was deceived by his friend Emmanuel Odeh, who told him they were going to the hospital to have his kidney removed. He trusted his friend and did as instructed. After being paid in dollars for the procedure, Odeh allegedly changed the money and bought electronic devices.

Ezekiel was then taken to another man, David, who facilitated medical tests. After his initial test results did not match those of the intended recipient, Ezekiel was told that his kidney matched another person's, and he was taken to the Federal High Court. According to Ezekiel, they signed documents at the hospital before being taken to the theater for the procedure.

The money was given to him around 10 pm or 11 pm, which he held while Odeh bought phones, power banks, and Wi-Fi devices. Ezekiel was discharged after spending about a week in the hospital, after which Odeh took him to a hotel in Cross River State for two days. Eventually, Odeh took Ezekiel back to Abuja, where he sold Ezekiel's phone to transport him.

Ezekiel confirmed that he consented to the procedure, which took place at Wellington Hospital on April 24, and that he was paid with several $100 notes and a $50 note, although he could not state the exact amount.
