Going to Dataran Putrajaya for National Day celebrations? Free water taxis are available from 5am on Aug 31

Putrajaya residents planning to attend the 2026 National Day Celebration on August 31 are in for a treat, as the city will offer free water taxis to make transportation to the event hassle-free. Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil announced the initiative, stating that the service will operate from 5am to 2pm on the celebration day.

Fahmi, who also serves as the chairman of the 2026 National Day and Malaysia Day Celebration Main Committee, encouraged the public to plan their journeys in advance by parking their vehicles near the water transport terminal before boarding the free taxis to the event site. The free water transportation service covers several key routes, including Marina Putrajaya to Anjung Floria, Kelab Tasik Putrajaya to Monumen, and Terra@8 to Monumen.

Fahmi emphasized that passengers can not only rely on the convenient service but also enjoy a relaxing and memorable travel experience with their families at Tasik Putrajaya.
