Future Force vehicle to be Armed Forces highlight at National Day parade

The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) will showcase its modernization and collaborative efforts among the army, navy, and air force at the 2026 National Day Parade on Monday. Major General Mohd Shauari Mat Piah, the Fourth Division Malaysian Army commander and Chief Coordinator of the parade, revealed that a distinctive vehicle resembling a long trailer will highlight the development of MAF's modernization and the synergy among the three services.

This vehicle will underscore the role of the MAF Headquarters in coordinating assets from all three branches, as well as the modernization of the army and navy. The Future Force concept will also be emphasized, reflecting the preparation for future security challenges. The parade will display a wide array of MAF assets, including combat, mobility, support, communications, logistics, and ceremonial elements.

Approximately 3,581 MAF personnel, including 2,913 contingent members, 181 reserve personnel, and 487 support personnel, will take part in the festivities. Additionally, the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) will contribute 200 participants, and the Johor Military Force (JMF) will bring a contingent of 55, including 10 assets.

The MAF Future Force asset will also be part of the display. Preparations for the celebration have been meticulously planned and executed through integrated training, joint training, and rehearsals with all involved organizations and agencies. The public can visit the MAF assets up close during the MAF Asset Open Day, held today and tomorrow at Anjung Floria, Putrajaya, from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
