Former Falcons sixth-round pick released by Buffalo Bills

The NFL's 53-man roster deadline is approaching, and several teams, including the Atlanta Falcons, have initiated roster reductions. As of Saturday evening, the Falcons had waived seven players, cut three more, and placed one on the reserve/injured list. Former Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman Zion Logue was among those released on Saturday afternoon by the Buffalo Bills.

The 25-year-old Logue, drafted by Atlanta in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, did not make the 53-man roster out of training camp. Initially signed to the Falcons' practice squad, he later joined the Bills early in the 2024 season. Logue played in five games for the Bills over the past two seasons. Standing at 6 feet 6 inches and weighing 325 pounds, he is expected to find a spot on a practice squad eventually.

There's still hope for Logue with the Atlanta Falcons as they continue their roster adjustments. The team has trimmed 11 players from their roster so far. The recent moves include waiving wide receiver Keelan Marion, defensive tackle Devonnsha Maxwell, linebacker Daveren Rayner, offensive guard Jaeden Roberts, cornerback Keidron Smith, offensive tackle Andrew Stueber, tight end Joshua Simon, defensive tackle Eric Johnson, linebacker Channing Tindall, and offensive guard Brandon Walton. Safety Darren Hall is now on injured reserve.
