Fire’s Haile-Selassie, Lewandowski score to spoil 2-goal debut of Sounders’ Joveljić in 2-2 draw

Dejan Joveljić made his debut with Seattle, scoring once in each half as the Sounders and Fire battled to a 2-2 draw on Saturday. Maren Haile-Selassie and Robert Lewandowski each netted a goal for Chicago to bring the match to a stalemate. Joveljić, who joined Seattle in a $6 million trade from Sporting Kansas City, has now scored nine times in the league this season.

Haile-Selassie's fifth goal against Chicago was the closest she has come to a career-high tally. Lewandowski contributed four assists in his first seven matches and Andrew Gutman added his fifth assist of the season. Albert Rusnák and 19-year-old Snyder Brunell also found the back of the net for Chicago, while Chris Brady kept a clean sheet for Seattle, who have won all three of their home matches against the Fire.
