Falcons worth up to Dh1m steal the show at ADIHEX 2026 in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: Falcons valued up to Dh1 million are among the main attractions at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2026, which has drawn a strong crowd on its second day. The exhibition spans 15 sectors, encompassing falconry, equestrian sports, camels, hunting gear, veterinary services, safari tourism, marine activities, recreational vehicles, traditional crafts, and environmental conservation.

Families can engage in workshops and a children's area introduces them to Emirati heritage, falcons, crafts, and customs.

Falconry remains a key draw, with local and international breeders showcasing various breeds and specialized equipment. Local breeders at Al Dhafra Falcons Foundation offer birds from Dh1,000 to Dh1 million, depending on species, type, and specifications. They display pure gyrfalcons, gyr-shahin, hybrid falcons, and related hunting and racing gear. German importers KZ Falcons exhibit falcons from Germany, including pure breeds.

Ahead of the event, four pre-exhibition auctions generated Dh1.772 million from 26 falcon sales, with the highest price at Dh255,000 for a pure gyrfalcon. Additional four auctions will take place during ADIHEX, with online participation available. The event also features international cultural performances and showcases traditional Emirati crafts and sustainability initiatives. ADIHEX 2026 runs until September 6 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
