Dubai Police trains school security guards on traffic safety

Dubai Police has conducted traffic safety training sessions for over 140 security guards working at 35 schools in the city. The initiative aims to enhance the guards' ability to manage traffic near school premises and ensure student safety during peak drop-off and pick-up times. Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of Dubai Police's General Department of Traffic, emphasized the importance of this collaboration between law enforcement and educational institutions to bolster traffic safety.

The training, led by First Warrant Officer Ahmed Mohammad Khalaf, focused on realistic scenarios that security guards may encounter. Participants learned how to report minor traffic accidents using the Dubai Police smart app, 'We are All Police'. They also received instruction on traffic signs, safety regulations, and techniques to maintain smooth traffic flow during school hours.

The sessions included practical exercises simulating real-life situations, such as responding to minor accidents and managing traffic around school entrances and exits. Additionally, the training covered the safe boarding and disembarking of school buses, teaching participants how to react calmly and effectively to traffic or security emergencies, ensuring student safety until professional help arrives.
