Dream’s Reese assessed 8th technical this season, triggering 1-game suspension unless rescinded

In Atlanta, Dream forward Angel Reese could face a one-game suspension this Sunday, should her eighth technical foul of the season during Friday's loss to Portland remain unrescinded. Reese was involved in a physical altercation with Portland's Carla Leite inside the paint as Dream guard Rhyne Howard scored a three-pointer from the right corner.

Leite attempted to box out Reese, who, being behind, pushed herself away. Reese objected the call and may appeal the decision to the WNBA for its rescission. If the appeal succeeds, Reese would not be penalized for Sunday's game. The WNBA recently overturned a technical foul against Caitlin Clark, preventing her from receiving an automatic one-game suspension for her eighth technical of the season.
