CMAT pays tribute to Dolly in Electric Picnic homecoming

CMAT honored country music icon Dolly Parton during her performance at Electric Picnic, taking the stage at the Main Stage on Saturday night. She kicked off her set with a surprise rendition of Jolene, accompanied by a dramatic pause before launching into the song as a tribute to Parton, who passed away at 80 earlier this week. The rain had cleared by the time CMAT took the stage, clearing up festival-goers' concerns about her appearance after she canceled a performance at Rock en Seine in Paris the previous day due to gastroenteritis.

CMAT delivered a full-energy performance, playing hits like EURO-COUNTRY, When a Good Man Cries, and I Wanna Be a Cowboy, Baby!. Reflecting on her history with Electric Picnic, she noted it was her first festival attended. The crowd was visibly enthusiastic, holding up their phones to capture the moment as they danced and cheered throughout her set.
