Brewers Announce Slightly Concerning Update On Key Reliever

The Milwaukee Brewers, leading the National League with the best record, are seeking to secure the top seed. Pitcher Abner Uribe has been absent due to a right forearm flexor strain on the injured list. Uribe began a rehab assignment with High-A Wisconsin on Tuesday and has thrown in a single minor league game, striking out one batter while pitching a scoreless inning.

Pat Murphy revealed on Friday that Uribe will need an additional rehab game before returning to action, as the next day did not feel great, and they wanted to ensure his safety. Uribe, a premier leverage reliever, has a 2.05 ERA this season, appearing in 49 games for the Brewers. Since June, he has maintained a 0.67 ERA, significantly contributing to the team's strong bullpen.
