[UPDATED] RM260k love scam believed linked to deaths in Desa ParkCity

A note found by police in the apartment where a family of four was brutally murdered reportedly cited the alleged financial losses and debts incurred due to the wife's ongoing contact with a love scammer. The 48-year-old company director, who took his own life alongside his 47-year-old wife and two children, expressed remorse over his wife's alleged involvement with a scammer, claiming it had led to substantial financial and emotional turmoil.

The note detailed the distress caused by his wife's continued attempts to contact the scammer, despite the mounting losses and debts, which amounted to RM260,000. In the note, the suspect lamented feeling ashamed in front of their children and described the situation as having escalated to a point of no return. Police found a knife and gloves in the bedroom drawer believed to have been used in the murders.

Post-mortem examinations revealed a five-centimeter stab wound on the deceased wife's neck, while the girl, a seven-year-old boy, and her mother had also suffered severe injuries. The suspect's post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted the following day after the forensic team from Kuala Lumpur Hospital visits the scene.
