Two arrested over alleged GES recruitment fraud

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has arrested two individuals accused of engaging in recruitment fraud during their ongoing recruitment exercise, according to the organization's official statement. The two suspects have been arraigned before Accra Circuit Court 6. Four people are currently linked to the alleged recruitment fraud, with two individuals already in custody and the remaining two still at large.

The arrests were made in collaboration with security agencies as part of efforts to protect applicants and maintain the credibility of the recruitment process. GES emphasized that its recruitment procedure is free and follows clearly defined protocols, urging applicants to avoid giving money to anyone promising to facilitate their recruitment, secure appointment letters, or influence their placement.

The arrests aim to target individuals who exploit unsuspecting applicants for personal gain. GES pledged to take strong action against anyone found attempting to defraud applicants or harm the organization's reputation. The agency has also called on the public to promptly report any suspected recruitment fraud cases, providing any relevant information to assist security agencies in tracing and apprehending those involved.
