Toxic Box Office Collection Day 2: Yash & Kiara Advani's Film Witnesses Massive 64% Drop Amid Criticism, Collects ₹36.40 Crore

On the second day of its theatrical run, Kannada film Toxic: A Fairytale For Grownups, starring Yash and Kiara Advani, saw a significant decline in box office collections, dropping by 64% compared to the previous day's figures. According to Sacnilk, the film garnered a net collection of ₹36.40 crore across 22,629 shows in India, bringing its India net collection to ₹137.50 crore and the India gross to ₹164.50 crore after two days.

Despite maintaining a presence in overseas markets, the film's total overseas gross collection reached Rs 26.25 crore, bringing the worldwide gross to ₹190.75 crore.

The highest contribution to the film's collections on Day 2 came from Hindi, which brought in Rs 23 crore, followed by Kannada with Rs 8.50 crore, Telugu at Rs 3 crore, Tamil at Rs .50 crore, and Malayalam around Rs 40 lakh. Although the film crossed the Rs 190 crore mark worldwide within just two days, the sharp decline in collections on Day 2 has raised concerns about its potential to become profitable.

With the substantial budget speculated to be around Rs 500 crore, the film needs to secure strong collections over the weekend and maintain consistent numbers throughout the weekdays to achieve profitability.
