Three reasons your name may be missing in matriculation list – JAMB tells candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has outlined three reasons why a candidate's name may not appear on the matriculation list. This information was shared in an explanatory video posted on JAMB's official X handle on Friday. The most common reason is failure to accept admission on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Additionally, if a candidate's admission status displays "not admitted," they should contact their institution to have their admission processed.

Another possible reason for a missing name is when the institution fails to forward the candidate's verified matriculation details to JAMB. In this case, candidates should reach out to their institutions and ensure their admissions are processed on CAPS. Furthermore, JAMB identified that not printing the original JAMB result slip and admission letter as a third reason.

Candidates in this situation are advised to visit the nearest JAMB office or an approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre to have the necessary documents printed.
