Quetta to Turn 10 Major Roads Into Model Roads

The Metropolitan Corporation in Quetta has outlined a plan to enhance municipal services and tackle significant civic issues such as inadequate sanitation, illegal constructions, and parking concerns. The corporation's administrator, retired Major Bashir Ahmad Barech, mentioned that the organization plans to restructure its operations to improve waste collection and make municipal services more accessible to residents.

Quetta will be divided into four distinct zones, each overseen by an area supervisor. Each zone will have 20 sanitary workers tasked with addressing cleanliness and waste management in their designated areas. The primary goal for the administration is maintaining cleanliness, resolving municipal issues, and alleviating the difficulties faced by residents.

In line with this broader strategy, the corporation will initiate a pilot project aimed at transforming 10 major roads into Model Roads. These selected roads will benefit from superior cleaning services, improved road markings, and the installation of public toilets. Additionally, the administration will undertake anti-encroachment operations to remove illegal occupants from public spaces.
