Politicians celebrate Raksha Bandhan; Love of ladki bahin is my greatest strength, says Fadnavis

Mumbai witnessed a grand celebration of Raksha Bandhan across various political circles this year. However, the festivities also held a deeply emotional significance, as leaders paid tribute to those who held the occasion dear - particularly the bond between brothers and sisters. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that the love and blessings of "ladki bahin," or sister-brother, are his greatest strength.

MLC Chitra Tai Wagh conveyed this sentiment to Fadnavis, expressing her boundless love and blessings for the Chief Minister. Fadnavis accepted these sentiments wholeheartedly, vowing to continue serving Maharashtra with greater vigor and inspiration. He firmly believes that a brother should not only protect sisters but also strive to empower them, pledging to make every sister self-reliant and empowered throughout his lifetime.

Extending Raksha Bandhan wishes, NCP MP Supriya Sule paid a poignant tribute to her late cousin and former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who tragically passed away in a plane crash in January. Sule's heartfelt post on X revealed her emotional struggle with Pawar's sudden departure, even seven months after the incident. She reminisced about shared childhood memories, fights, and love, expressing her longing for Pawar's presence in her life.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also took to social media, echoing the theme of brother-sister bonds built on love and trust.
