NDC condemns City Boys Movement’s ‘extravagant’ lifestyle

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has strongly criticized the City Boys Movement, a campaign platform of President Bola Tinubu, for its alleged wasteful and extravagant lifestyle. In a statement, NDC's national spokesman, Osa Director, highlighted the contrast between the challenges faced by Nigerians and the opulent lifestyle of officials within the City Boys Movement.

The spokesman emphasized that at a time when Nigerians are enduring one of their toughest periods under the unresponsive APC-led administration, these officials are flying in private jets and living in open luxury. He described their conduct as "tone-deaf" and a clear indication of the Tinubu administration's insensitivity and callousness towards the Nigerian people.

The spokesman pointed out that this administration continues to ask Nigerians to endure the pain inflicted by its policies, while it indulges in lavish lifestyles and squanders taxpayers' money. He argued that Nigeria cannot continue to sink into abject poverty while a few corrupt and incompetent politicians enjoy luxurious living.

The NDC urged Nigerians to collectively reject wastage and the extravagant lifestyle of a privileged few, urging them to vote out the APC in the upcoming elections. The statement concluded by asserting that with President Tinubu in charge, the judicious use of people's resources would be guaranteed.
