Mohan Bhagwat’s NYC visit is about power, not culture

Indian-American venture capitalist Asha Jadeja Motwani met with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in New York, praising him for his "unshakable confidence in Indian youth." Bhagwat, the 75-year-old chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is on a three-day visit to the United States as part of the RSS' global outreach programme for its centenary.

During the roundtable meeting, Bhagwat discussed various topics, including space, quantum computing, and India's future. Motwani, who attended the meeting, noted that Bhagwat expressed a strong bias towards Indian youth and has the biggest champion role in the country. She further commented on Bhagwat's positive outlook on US-India ties, stating that he is a "true believer" in the friendship between the two countries and has promised to visit the US more frequently.

The meeting took place before Bhagwat's scheduled appearance at the 'Universal Oneness Celebration' at Madison Square Garden, where he is expected to address around 6,000 people from the Indian diaspora and other communities.
