McInnes backs himself to deliver Rangers success

Derek McInnes, Rangers' manager, believes he can lead the team to success despite their current struggles. McInnes, 55, oversaw Rangers' exit from European competition this season and has only picked up one point from their opening two Scottish Premiership matches. He acknowledges that his team needs help and support, and that they are "a long way away from the Rangers team that I want us to be."

McInnes has recruited twelve players already and hopes to sign a few more before the transfer window closes, but he also expects some players to leave during that time. He laments Rangers' inability to play possession-based, counter-attacking or direct football, stating that they need to relax more in possession and be comfortable with their approach.
