Manoj Jarange Threatens Mumbai March If Maratha Demands Are Not Accepted, Calls For Community Mobilisation Ahead Of Fast

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar witnessed a Maratha activist, Manoj Jarange, threatening to march to Mumbai if the government does not concede to their demands. Jarange announced his hunger strike at Antarwali Sarati village on Saturday and warned that if their demands remain unmet, he would stage a sit-in outside the Chief Minister's residence.

He emphasized that no demands would be dropped and the protest would continue indefinitely unless the government addresses their concerns. Jarange accused the government of diminishing the Maratha community's welfare, pointing to the decline of the 58 lakh Kunbi records and the denials by ministers Shirsat and Bawankule. He urged the Mahayuti government to issue a government resolution (GR) that addresses the community's demands, including officials visiting Antarwali to explain the resolutions, job allocations based on eligibility for activists' families, an independent Maratha-Kunbi ministry, and the revival of suspended Sarathi schemes.

Furthermore, Jarange demanded direct release of pending interest refunds from the Annasaheb Patil Economically Backward Development Corporation and the validation of cancelled caste certificates in Marathwada.
