LSH Infra-Pertama Makmur JV win job for Bandar Malaysia-Seri Kembangan elevated highway project

The Bandar Malaysia-Seri Kembangan Elevated Highway (BSE) project, a strategic infrastructure development aimed at enhancing connectivity and reducing traffic congestion in Greater Kuala Lumpur, has been awarded to LSH Infra Sdn Bhd and Pertama Makmur Sdn Bhd Joint Venture. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi stated that the Cabinet had agreed in principle to the development, highlighting the MADANI Government's commitment to delivering high-impact infrastructure projects that benefit the people, stimulate economic growth, and bolster the country's competitiveness in a sustainable way.

The BSE, projected as a high-capacity route, will connect several major highway networks including the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway, Maju Expressway, Sungai Besi Expressway, New Pantai Expressway, Shah Alam Expressway, and the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Dispersal System network, providing an alternative route for road users and facilitating movement between the northern, southern, and east coast corridors of Peninsular Malaysia.

LSH Infra, a subsidiary of Lim Seong Hai Capital Bhd, and Pertama Makmur, a bumiputera-owned company, will collaborate on the project, leveraging their combined experience in construction and infrastructure-related projects. The project's implementation will focus on private-sector financing, ensuring it does not entail direct financial commitments from the Federal Government.

Nanta emphasized that the development would enhance public mobility, improve logistics efficiency, and facilitate the movement of goods, while potentially reducing travel time and improving access to essential services, aligning with Malaysia's MADANI aspirations. Further negotiations and assessments will be undertaken by the Works Ministry and relevant agencies to finalize the project's implementation structure.
