The jury in the Lindsay Clancy trial is expected to resume deliberations on Monday morning, with a legal expert estimating that a verdict could take another few days to be reached. The Massachusetts murder case involves a 10 and a half hour deliberation since the prosecution and defense made their closing arguments on Thursday. Clancy is accused of killing her three children - Cora, Dawson, and Callan - and her defense argues that she was overmedicated and suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time, while prosecutors claim she planned the murders and knew right from wrong.

The jury has not reached a unanimous decision yet, and they must consider testimony from 85 witnesses as well as medical reports, journals, and a knife. The jury has been whittled down from 18 jurors to 12, with an older woman serving as foreperson. The gender disparity on the jury could either work for or against either side, but some jurors may relate to Clancy's experiences as a mother or grandmother.

The five verdict options include finding Clancy not guilty, not guilty by reason of insanity, first-degree murder, second-degree murder, or manslaughter. If found not guilty by reason of insanity, Clancy would remain at Tewksbury Hospital for review every six months.
