Kronprins Haakon and Kronprincess Mette-Marit were seen at Rikshospitalet on Friday morning, having returned from their second visit to the hospital that day. Apart from police patrol cars rotating outside the hospital, it had been quiet throughout the night. After a day during which all members of the royal family - the king, queen, crown prince, and their two children, Princess Märtha Louise and Queen Astrid - visited the hospital, Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit arrived at 19:40, more than ten minutes after Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit left the hospital.

Kronprins Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit were dressed in black, and the crown prince wore a black suit. They made a clear impression as they arrived at the hospital.
