Kim Soo-hyun to resume activities in S. Korea after over a year

Actor Kim Soo-hyun is set to return to public appearances in South Korea next month, nearly a year after nearly halting all activities here due to allegations surrounding actress Kim Sae-ron, who passed away at the age of 24. Kim is scheduled to present awards at The Fact Music Awards, taking place in Busan on September 19, according to officials from the awards organization committee.

This comes after conservative YouTuber Kim Se-ui was arrested in March 2025, accused of spreading false and fabricated information about the actor's relationship with the late actress, who was a minor when they were together. Kim initially denied the claims but filed defamation complaints against the YouTuber and the late actress' family after holding a press conference.

Police recently dropped a charge of underage dating against Kim, citing a lack of evidence. He has recently made a live television appearance in Indonesia and is set to meet fans in the Philippines in October.
