André 3000 cannot escape Scooby-Doo

André "3000" Benjamin, known for his distinctive rapping, finds himself returning to the world of Scooby-Doo after a 20-year hiatus. Deadline reports that the musician has been cast in Netflix's live-action revival of the beloved franchise, more than two decades after his last collaboration with Big Boi on "Land of a Million Drums" for the 2002 movie soundtrack.

This news adds to Benjamin's diverse acting background, which includes appearances in series like American Crime and Noah Baumbach's White Noise adaptation, as well as his own Cartoon Network series, Class Of 3000. He will be joining an already impressive cast, featuring veteran actress Cathy Moriarty, alongside other notable names such as Paul Walter Hauser, Rusty Schwimmer, Peter Macon, and Mckenna Grace. The live-action project, titled Scooby-Doo: Origins, is scheduled for release in 2027.
