KBC 18: GST officer loses Rs 7.5 lakh after missing question about origin of India’s name

In the recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, tax officer Dr Anuj Bhatnagar from Udaipur, Rajasthan, reached a substantial sum of Rs 7.5 lakh before missing a question about the origins of India's name. Utilizing his Sanket Suchak lifeline on the Rs 5 lakh question, Anuj correctly answered, securing the milestone.

However, he faced challenges with the Rs 12.5 lakh question, which dealt with the flags of India, Jordan, and Zambia. He used his final lifeline, 50:50, but unfortunately chose incorrectly, stating that the English names of the countries were derived from their Independence Days. The accurate answer was that the English names originate from rivers - India from the Indus River, Jordan from the Jordan River, and Zambia from the Zambezi River. Consequently, Anuj's total winnings were reduced back to the guaranteed Rs 5 lakh amount.
