Kangana Ranaut flaunts her ‘first Meghalaya sari’: ‘Took almost 2.5 months to get woven’

Kangana Ranaut appeared in a stunning plum Eri silk saree while out and about, sharing with her followers it marked her first Meghalaya sari. The brand Taara Vedaa gifted her this handcrafted premium fabric, expressing that the naturally dyed 100% pure Eri silk took nearly 2.5 months to weave. Eri Silk, also known as Ahimsa or Peace Silk, originates from the Philosamia ricini moth in Northeast India.

Unlike traditional silk, these moths emerge from their cocoons before harvesting, making the process cruelty-free. This sustainable, durable textile boasts a unique matte, cotton-like texture, offering warmth in winter, coolness in summer, and exceptional breathability.
