Navi Mumbai: ‘Kheli Naral Fodi 2026’ Competition Marks Narali Purnima With Festive Community Participation

Navi Mumbai hosted the third edition of the 'Kheli Naral Fodi 2026' competition on the auspicious occasion of Narali Purnima. The event, organized by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) ward 22 president Akshay Bhosale in collaboration with Manuskki Pratishthan, attracted enthusiastic participation from residents, especially women from Juinagar, Nerul, and Sanpada.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the presence of MNS spokesperson and Navi Mumbai city president Gajanan Kale and MNS corporator Abhijit Desai as chief guests.

In the men's category, Murti Kaka clinched the first prize and was awarded the ceremonial silver coconut, followed by Sambhaji Patil in second place and Aniruddha Ghadi in third. The women's category saw Jayashree Lavate emerging as the first prize winner, receiving a traditional Paithani saree, with Jayashree Mahajan taking second and Ashwini Kale third place.

The competition aimed to celebrate Narali Purnima while fostering community spirit and preserving traditional festivities. The event featured performances by Govinda teams from Juinagar, with some teams forming human pyramids to pay a ceremonial salute. MNS office-bearers and local workers, including Mangesh Jadhav, Sachin Dorge, Shashikant Gaikwad, Mayur Karande, Sanket Bodke, Prashant Shinde, Sushil Gaikwad, Pramod Khamkar, Arjun Thapa, and Arjun Waghmare, were also present at the event.
